There are several ways to explore the 6,000-acre Gettysburg battlefield, and your battlefield journey should begin with the Cyclorama, Museum and Film Experience, offered exclusively at the Museum and Visitor Center at Gettysburg National Military Park.

BY CAR

You can tour the Gettysburg battlefield in your own vehicle, using one of the following options:

Licensed Gettysburg Battlefield Guided Tour: Hire a personal guide who will drive your car and take you on a two-hour tour of the battlefield. Guides train for years and pass extensive tests to qualify to give tours. Guides are available daily, but advanced reservations are recommended.

Audio CD Tour: You can also choose to purchase a CD tour for your car; they are available in the Museum Bookstore and are around $20.

BY BUS

Tired of driving? Leave your car and join us on a bus tour of the Gettysburg battlefield. A Licensed Battlefield Guide will lead your tour on a climate-controlled motor coach, and you will leave the bus a few times during the tour to actually walk on this hallowed ground.

Tours are offered throughout the day, and a Value Package featuring a bus tour and the Cyclorama, Film and Museum Experience, is available.
