The Gettysburg Battlefield

Character… competence… vision… qualities of effective leaders in all walks of life: corporate, education, non-profit, military.

Strong leaders are not born; most acquire leadership skills over time through life experiences, training opportunities and professional development.

The Gettysburg Foundation, the non-profit partner of the National Park Service at Gettysburg, has created unique leadership-education opportunities that use the resources of America’s most revered battlefield and the new Museum and Visitor Center to help facilitate the development of effective leaders.

For information about the program and how your organization can participate, please contact Sue Boardman, Leadership Program Manager, at 717-334-3460 ext. 222 or via email.

THE PROGRAM

In the Footsteps of Leaders will be tailored to your organization’s individual needs—from a one-day encounter on the battlefield to a three-day event that uses Gettysburg National Military Park, the Soldiers’ National Cemetery, the Museum and Visitor Center and the town of Gettysburg. Each program is a highly effective experiential learning tool that demonstrates leadership lessons within the context of place and helps you translate those leadership lessons into practical application.

Clients include:

Franklin and Marshall
Sherwin-Williams
Young Presidents’ Organization
