There are close to 1,400 monuments on the Gettysburg battlefield, each memorial, tablet, flank marker or cannon helps visitors understand this monumental battle. To date, the Gettysburg Foundation has helped the National Park Service preserve the following monuments:

  • Eternal Light Peace Memorial
  • General Sedgwick equestrian monument
  • General Slocum equestrian monument
  • 44th-12th New York monument
  • Texas state monument – maintenance
  • Pennsylvania monuments
  • Soldiers National Cemetery headstones – painting, cleaning
  • Power-washing program
  • Cannon-carriage restoration program
