The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center is Closed Thanksgiving Day

Visitors to Gettysburg during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend should plan their trip to Gettysburg knowing that the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center is closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2024.

The Museum & Visitor Center will reopen Friday, Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with access to the experiences, exhibits and tours and special programming. Visitors will again have access to park information at the National Park Service Ranger Information Desk. The Friends Desk will also be accessible for information about the Gettysburg Foundation, Friends of Gettysburg memberships and Friends merchandise. The McKenna Foundation Resource Room, Museum Book Store, Refreshment Saloon and Battlegrounds Cafe & Grille will also reopen inside the Museum & Visitor Center Friday, Nov. 29.
